Registration and Enrollment

Admissions

Students need to have completed high school and be at least 18 years old to be admitted into the YCMES Department of English.

We recommend that all students have access to the internet at home as this is necessary for much of their homework. If this is not possible, however, they may take advantage of our computer labs.

Placement Test

Students must schedule a placement test before the course starts. Every effort is made to place students at the level that best represents their abilities and skills.

Changing Levels

If in the first week of term a student's instructors believe that he is not placed at the best level for effective learning, they will request that he is moved either up or down.

Only the centre director can move students; the director, student and instructors must all sign the level change form.

If a student misses classes in the process of moving from one class to another, they will be credited with the hours.

Students changing level will be given their new course book free of charge.

Enrollment

Students may enroll for a course at any time, but will not be considered officially registered and a place will not be reserved for them until they pay the tuition fees in full.

YCMES accepts new students every six weeks.
