    On Sunday 9 June 2013, former Prime Minister of Yemen, political advisor to President Hadi and Chairman of the Yemen College of Middle Eastern Studies Dr Abdul Karim al-Irayani hosted a reception in the college gardens to celebrate YCMES’s 25th anniversary and the inaugural graduation for receipients of the Diploma in Business English.
    The event was attended by YCMES staff and students, ministers, embassy representatives and leaders from the graduates’ corporate sponsors.

    Speeches were given by Dr al-Irayani, Sabri Saleem (President of the College and the man who founded the YCMES in 1988) and two of the graduates, Reem al-Forassy and Mansour Raweh. Click on the links to see the transcripts of these speeches.
    Diplomas were handed out by Dr al-Irayani, Sabri Saleem and Dr Steven Caton (YCMES Dean and Professor of Contemporary Arab Studies at Harvard).
